Moto Market NYC

About Moto Market NYC

Moto Market NYC was born out of an expressed need for a community-based motorcycle swap meet in the New York area. As of 2018, New Yorkers had to travel out of state to attend moto swap meets in Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, and beyond. After hearing of this need, Co-Founders Kirsten Midura and Shelley Golan took it upon themselves to provide the community with the event that they had been requesting.

Any profits form the Moto Market go toward the operations and expenses of running the market and securing locations/materials for future events. Our most recent Moto Market generated enough money for us to begin incorporating as a formal entity as well as streamlining payments, operations, and logistics.

Our Team

Kirsten Midura

Kirsten threw herself head-first into motorcycling through daily commuting, weekend touring, dirt-biking, American Supercamp, and a track day under her belt. Beside co-organizing the Moto Market, she is also a co-organizer for MotoSocial New York, Motos & Photos, and the NYC Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. She is a contributing author for NYC Motorcyclist, a moto event photographer, and a regular at Spiegel’s bike nights. She’s also a MotoFella, Miss-Fire, and New York Classic Rider. Kirsten rocks a 2014 Triumph Street Triple, a 1975 Honda 550Four, and a Kawasaki KLX250S dual sport.

Shelley Golan

Shelley's experience with motorcycling is a story told in reverse. It began when she inadvertently met Kirsten at a vertical farm tour in Bushwick, and subsequently found herself on the organizing team of the NYC Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. A bunch of Spiegel Two Wheel Tuesdays, a couple successfully organized Moto Market NYCs, a plethora of moto events, many laughs, and a few rides later, she is now a fully-licensed motorcyclist with a Suzuki TU250. Believe in your dreams!
